Asterisk PJSIP installation without make menuselect

Asterisk PJSIP installation without make menuselect

Recently, we have been inquired how to install Asterisk, if you can’t display the make menuselect command.
This tutorial applies to all versions of Asterisk.

The typical flow is as described in the post here.

cd /usr/src/
wget http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/asterisk-13-current.tar.gz
tar xvzf asterisk-13-current.tar.gz
cd asterisk-13*
./configure
make menuselect

Now, the part with make menuselect doesn’t work.

Use this command to select res_pjsip and chan_pjsip.
Note: this command applies to all options in make menuselect.

menuselect/menuselect --enable res_pjsip --enable chan_pjsip menuselect.makeopts

To list all command line options run

menuselect/menuselect --list-options

To finish

make && make install && make samples
asterisk
